S & S (Suzi & Sammi Beach Bar Kuta) MAP & INFORMATION

For the “Bali Virgins” here is some info regarding the famous "S&S"

S&S is simply an abbreviation for Suzi and Sammi’s Beach Bar at Kuta. They are a husband and wife Balinese couple. They set up a very informal “beach bar” located in the Kuta/Legian area, between Jalan Melasti and Jalan Padma and not to be confused with the S&S&S which is another BTF meet'n'greet located in Sanur. (more on that later.

Under the shade of a huge old tree there are one or two Eskys/Car fridges/Ice Boxes, a few umbrella's for shade and a number of plastic chairs.

ANOTHER BTF MEET 'N' GREET AT SAMMY & SUZY'S BEACH BAR - LEGIAN

Over the years it has become a great casual place to meet other families and forumites from the BTF (Bali Travel Forum) and it's great to be able to put a face to a ‘post name' and to share your travel experiences, compare shopping tips or simply cool off after a busy day.

As I said it’s on the sand and the entrance is on the new road along the beach front between the Mandira and Legian Beach Hotels. As you walk through the break in the brick wall on to the sand, a life savers stand is on the left and S & S is on the tree line to your right. The eskys are filled with icy cold beer and soft drinks for the kids sold at shop prices (take a hip flask of spirits if your not a beer drinker).

The kids can play on the sand, mum can have her nails done, grab a massage, buy a sarong, beads, t-shirts etc from the local sellers all while relaxing in the shade with a cold drink in your hand....now thats what I call shopping !!!

Members meet up there at a pre arranged time organised on the BTF before leaving for Bali. Most meet up at around 4pm at the S&S. After drinks at sunset the group normally wander off to somewhere closeby for a group dinner together.
