BALI GOVERNOR WANTS BAN ON OLD CARS
Bali’s Governor Made Mangku Pastika infront of the Provincial Government has called for a ban on cars older than 10-15 years to be used on the island.
“Preliminary studies from Udayana and Warmadewa University suggest that there should be regulations made on the age of cars,” said Pastika.
“There should be legislation introduced for cars that are between 10 to 15 years old,” he added.
According to Pastika, old cars present an economic burden as they are inefficient and produce more carbon dioxide emissions.
“We understand that many Balinese use new cars,” said Pastika.
